To enable a third party app to use a google account’s SMPT credentials to send mail:
- Use these settings:
- Gmail SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.com
- Gmail SMTP username: Your Gmail address (for example, example@gmail.com)
- Gmail SMTP password: Your Gmail password
- Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587
- Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465
- Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL required: Yes
- May need to Allow less secure apps to use the account: https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps.
- Disable captcha:
- Open an incognito window or private browsing in Chrome.
- Then Copy and paste this link: https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha
- Sign in to the @gmail.com account.
- Complete CAPTCHA.
